To all of our wonderful Highpoint family members….And to our extended Highpoint family. We love you and we miss you all very much. It is because of that love that we have suspended our live worship services held at our facility.
One of the qualities of a good shepherd is that he cares for the sheep . A good shepherd not only feeds the sheep…He protects them as well and tries to ensure that no harm comes to them. So, by suspending our live worship services and sheltering in place as god has directed us to do, we are literally saving lives.
As you can see from recent news accounts, this dread pandemic yet rages. Many have begun to let their guards down. Crowds are now gathering and many of the people in those crowds are completely ignoring the existing protocols. In addition, they refuse to abide by the rules that have been implemented. We strongly believe that this disobedience will cause a resurgence of the virus and we will again see another surge in corona virus cases.
We are continually seeking the lord for divine direction as we continue to shelter in place. God has spoken to us and has given us the assurance that as long as we walk in obedience he will continue to sustain us and no harm will come to us. For if we be willing and obedient, we shall eat the good of the land. If we refuse and rebel, we shall be devoured with the sword; for the mouth of the lord hath spoken it.
Therefore, we are asking you to exercise self restraint. Continue to be patient as we continue to worship virtually. Though fellowship has it’s place, the church is not a building. The church is in you! Christ in you the hope of glory!!
Therefore, we admonish you to continue to worship and pray in the safety of your own homes together with your family members. The lord will be in your midst. For he said in Matthew 18:20, “for where two or three are gathered together in my name. There am i in the midst of them.”
Though we are apart, the word of god is not bound!! The word of god is still being preached in power and in demonstration. It will continue to accomplish the will of the lord as it is heard, believed and received by all who will have ears to hear.
In closing, it is our sincere prayer that the lord will continue to keep you safe and well. We will continue to update you on our plans as we continue to seek the lord. We want to thank you all for your continued love, support and prayers for our well being during this time of crisis.
Until we meet again, “the lord bless thee and keep thee: the lord make his face to shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee: the lord lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.”
In Christ Always,
Apostle and Lady Vinson
