We will be fasting 30 days of the month of October.
We will be doing a version of the Daniel fast. Since many of you are working and because of the length of the fast, you will be encouraged to have fish with one meal one day of the week. You may also eat meat with one meal on one day of the week. As you know, each week consists of seven days. Thusly, five days of the week will be vegan, (i.E., beans, veggies, fruits, nuts, natural juices (no dairy products or breads made with yeast). Two days will be with the addition of meat or fish.
Those of you who are taking medications, please do not stop taking your meds. Drink plenty of water throughout the fast. In addition, our seniors and those of you with dietary restrictions, please fast as you are able.
A prayer team has been appointed by our pastor to lead us in prayer virtually throughout the month of October. These prayer services will take place every Wednesday night at 7:00 p.m. They will be shown on all of our social media platforms. You are encouraged to join in the prayer sessions each week.
