Pastoral Message

We again greet you all in the precious name of the Lord Jesus Christ! We are excited to say that the Lord is blessing his people and He is continuing to manifest himself in so many exciting ways.

This past year was a very exciting time for our nation. We elected the nations first black president, Barak Obama. As a church, we prayed that God’s will would be done and we united in prayer with fellow Christians all across the nation, not only for our newly elected president, but for our nation as a whole. We knew that he would face tremendous challenges and opposition in spite of his popularity.

As we all know, this past year we have faced tremendous challenges due to our nationwide economic condition. Our president inherited some of the most troubling situations that any president has ever had to deal with. Two wars, nationwide recession, business closings, bank failures and global warming. The list goes on and on. This is why we must continue to pray for our president and for our nation and the entire world. Yes, pray.

In spite of it all, God has been faithful in seeing his people through. Though times have been tough, God has been constant and unchanging. In fact, what shall we then say to all of these things? If God be for us…who can be against us? We are still more than conquerors through Christ who loves us! In spite of the times, God is great and greatly to be praised!

We truly owe all of our praise to God for the great things that he continues to do for us individually and collectively. We must realize that the Lord promised that he would never leave us, nor will he forsake us. He promised that he would be with us even to the end of the world!

Dear friends, we are 2010 years closer to the coming of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Let us continue to occupy until he comes. Pray without ceasing! Keep the faith! Run the race that is set before you with patience! Keep looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of your faith!
